The sunset with pink,  Blue, yellow, and orange. What beauty you and I  Have never seen before. By Evelyn Creon

Walls

Image
I build my walls up high,  And layer them miles wide. To keep my feelings buried inside, And hidden from the world outside. There's only one path thru, And very few ever brake through. By Evelyn Creon

My Old Home

Image
Emptiness consumed the room,  One that used to be filled with joy.  Old paper on the walls have gently started to fall,  Giving off a tattered look.  Cobwebs hang in the corners.  Corners that used to always be dimly lit.  Broken glass covers the floor below  Where the chandelier once hung.  Widow pains let in a cool breeze  Through broken bits and pieces.  A dust blanket covers the floor  Hiding old shoe skid marks.  The room in which I lived  As a young little girl.  Has been empty for many many years.  Leaving only spiders and mice  To enjoy the long lost fun.  The house in which the room sits Looks like a ramshackle. Though once upon a time it had been a home.  One full of joy and laughter  That lasted through the night.  One with memories  Hidden deep within the walls.  One that taught us to love, And to live life to the full. The old ramshackle house  Used to be the place I called home.  By Evelyn Creon

Who are you?

Image
Who are you?  Look in the mirror what do you see?  Is it the person you want to be?  Or is it someone you don't know?  Using your body like a wolf in sheep's skin.  Who are you, do you know?  What are wanting to become? Is the person you see when you look in the mirror that person?  Or do you need to change your path to become the person you want to be?  To become who you really are.

Sleep

Sleep weighs heavy on his head. The lack of which he's had  Is showed by every motion,  And position in which he sleeps.  By Evelyn Creon

Prompt #3

Image
I had a lot of fun writing this prompt. Have fun with it. Prompt #3  The dark damp prison cell began to shake with much momentum. Rocks started falling from the walls and ceiling, along with showers of dirt and grime. At first I thought there had been some type of bomb set off near by, but the guards of the prison kept us prisoners up to date on any of the latest news. The last thing the guard had said to me last night when he brought my grub was "we'll  not be at war for 'long long time. The ol' King has made friend' with all the kingdoms near by." Then I realized that it could have been an earthquake. No though, that didn't sound right either. Earthquakes had been dormant for thousands of years. The cell began to shake more valiantly. So much so that it sent me sprawling on the dirt floor. I huddled there on the floor in a ball protecting my head from any debris that might fall. If there had been a hole I would have his in it, and if I could

Two Sided

Image
Two Sided  Every breath was tender.  Every beat complete.  Every inch of skin had not a flaw.  Underneath the scalp and full head of hair; Crept ugly nasty thoughts no one knew were there.  Under perfect breasts a heart was so disturbed By guilt and pain that flooded every crevice Until it they were filled.  From the outside you couldn't see inside,  And from the inside you wouldn't see outside.  So depending on side you saw You could see beauty or the ugly truth. JUNE

Image
Today is the fifth day of June and that makes me supper excited; so I wrote a poem for this month. Let me know what you guys think. June   June is coming in,  The air is saying so.  You feel I in the wind  And in the ground you sow.  June is bursting past;  The flowers all agree.  Spring never seems to last  Throughout this month carefree.  Spring starts to worry When time is running low.  Afraid for rains showers,  As the sun begins to show.  June is full of love,  The birds are singing of.  So everywhere you peek,  You feel it quite so meek.  June is finally here.  The roses are in bloom.  Sweet I their perfumes Dispersed throughout the air.  Now that June has come,  Pearls, roses do adorn me.  I will now be at peace While the years decrease.   By Evelyn Creon

Night is falling fast
