I missed last week's blog post due to some unexpected health issues that completely skewed my ability to use my brain in any capacity. I also forgot to have a backup post for emergencies like last week. So instead of stressing about a blog post, I just pushed it off and decided to start back up this week. Today's poem is about how I am feeling about the idea of being a mother (my all-time dream job). I am torn between two worlds. One of motherhood and one of not. In one aspect, I'm a mother carrying her child Yet in another, I am not because I don't have all the responsibilities That a mother should have. My dream of being a mother has come And now I am waiting on the bench. Preparing for a child, and free of all the obligations Which comes with the title "mother." Am I a mother? The answer is yes.
