Two Worlds
I missed last week's blog post due to some unexpected health issues that completely skewed my ability to use my brain in any capacity. I also forgot to have a backup post for emergencies like last week. So instead of stressing about a blog post, I just pushed it off and decided to start back up this week.
Today's poem is about how I am feeling about the idea of being a mother (my all-time dream job).
I am torn between two worlds.
One of motherhood and one of not.
In one aspect, I'm a mother carrying her child
Yet in another, I am not because I don't have all the responsibilities
That a mother should have.
My dream of being a mother has come
And now I am waiting on the bench.
Preparing for a child, and free of all the obligations
Which comes with the title "mother."
Am I a mother? The answer is yes.
Do I feel like a mother? No, I do not.
So, I'm torn between two worlds.
